Healthy Living Map of the Capital Region

The Zip Map provides easy access to health data.

Simply select a health indicator from the column on the right to view data rates on the map. The Legend below it explains the significance of the color quintiles.
The map can be faded out partially or completely using the "Fade Map" slider in the upper right corner of the screen.

Important Note: When the map is faded, a data sheet of health indicators will not be generated. This facility is to allow zooming and scrolling of the underlying map.

Use the buttons at the top of the map - "Map", "Satellite," "Hybrid," "Terrain" - to change your view of the underlying map. Use the Zoom control on the left of the map to change the zoom level.
Rolling the cursor over the Zip Map causes a slide-out panel to appear that contains health indicator details specific to the zip area that was rolled over.
Clicking on a zip area produces a data sheet of health indicators for that zip area.
(See Printing Help section below for help with printing background colors and removing browser header/footers.)
Click on the "Choose Zips" tab to view a screen that lets you aggregate data for multiple zips and choose a County to use as comparison.
Clicking the "Show Aggregate Data" button produces a data sheet of the aggregate data.
